This Ministry of Helps is set forth in 1 Corinthians 12:28 and has an essential role at Abundant Life Ministries.
Deacons are In accordance with Acts 6:2-3 and their assignment is to see to the needs of the people, whether it’s calling them on the phone, visiting, giving a word of encouragement or other duties as deemed necessary. They also see to the internal and external maintenance and security of the church building. Our Deacons work in harmony with other auxiliaries to aid them in their tasks as well and they are a blessing to the entire Abundant Life family!
Our Member Services Ministry provides follow-up, prayer and caring encouragement for members of Abundant Life Ministries.
This area of ministry also provides support to those who are hospitalized, shut-in, or experiencing bereavement. We are focused on helping hurting people and addressing the wide variety of needs of our congregation. Elder Pamela Whiteston oversees the follow-up ministry which is responsible for ensuring our church family stays connected to the ministry. Elder Pamela Moore-Haley is the contact for the hospital and bereavement branch of this ministry. To contact Member Services, call the church office at 304-342-0058 or email Elder Whitestone at email@example.com or Elder Moore-Haley Jphaley@abundantlifewv.com.
James wrote in Hebrews 10:25, to fail not to assemble ourselves together. Our Lord and Savior commanded us in St. Luke 14:23, to go and compel them to come that His house may be filled. Our mission is to provide safe and reliable transportation to the House of God for those who are without transportation. Our passion is to see those transported to and from God’s House, strengthened, renewed and encouraged in Jesus Christ. We serve Christ and His Body, the Church, and Abundant Life Ministries. Deacon Willis Thompson is the Director of the Transportation Department. You may contact transportation at 304.342.0058 extension 2.
Our ushers are servants who serve as representatives of Jesus Christ. As a member of Abundant Life Ministries’ Usher Team, you will greet worshipers as they arrive for church services. The usher has the enormous responsibility to help lead people into readiness to learn, worship, and to receive God’s Word. Contact Minister Greg Saunders at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in serving in this ministry or for more information.
